General FAQ

When Should I Show Up? 

Friday, October 7th - Information will be emailed exclusively to VIPs

Saturday, October 8th - Gates open at 12:30am (VIP Gates open at noon)

Sunday, October 9th - Gates open at 1:00pm (VIP Gates open at 12:30pm)

When does the festival end? 

The festival curfew will be at 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 9th.

WILL YOU BE POSTING A SCHEDULE OF SET TIMES?

Yes! Set times will be announced the week of the festival.

What is this vip ticket all about?

Those that purchase the 3 Day VIP Pass will be invited to an exclusive evening cocktail reception followed by an intimate in-the-round performance by Drew Holcomb and several very special guests at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art on Friday, October 7th.

On Saturday and Sunday, Festival VIPs will gain early entry into the Levitt Shell, receive 2 free drink tickets, as well as VIP Tent Access (with VIP ONLY cash bar and various snacks provided).

AM I ALLOWED TO PASS OUT FLYERS?

No. But you are allowed to pass out high fives.

How can my band submit to play?

We are accepting band and artist submissions through ReverbNation. The submission form can be found here.

Will local bands be playing this year?

The Choose 901 stage is back this year! Your favorite Memphis locals will be playing their sweet tunes, showcasing the best of Memphis music.

CAN I PARK MY FOOD TRUCK HERE?

Email us at info@moonriverfestival.com if you're interested in being a food vendor.

COOL IF I USE THIS FESTIVAL TO PROMOTE MY WEBSITE/PRODUCT/EVENT?

Not cool, man. Not cool. Moon River Festival's trademarks, intellectual property, tickets, laminates, and wristbands may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests, sweepstakes or any commercial purpose. Official sponsors are the only exceptions.

ARE UMBRELLAS A-GO FOR SHADE?

Umbrellas are allowed into the festival, incase of rain only, as they otherwise obstruct the view for other festival attendees. Lather on the sunscreen and pack a visor.

CAN I BRING IN MY MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION?

Medically-required items may be brought with a proper doctor's note or prescription detailing the necessity of the item to be available onsite. Let security or the box office know you have medications at the main entrance. Take note: every medical prescription and the accompanying names on each container will need have to be confirmed with the festival goer’s ID.

ARE EYE DROPS ALLOWED?

Yes, as long as the container is labeled.

THIS BABY ISN'T GOING TO WALK ITSELF. CAN I BRING A STROLLER IN?

Absolutely.

WHAT PASSES AS AN APPROPRIATELY SIZED BAG?

A medium backpack. which is no bigger than 20″ tall, 15″ wide and 9″ thick.

CAN I BRING IN FOOD AND DRINKS?

No outside food or drinks will be allowed into Moon River Fest. You can, however, bring UNOPENED/SEALED bottles of water. Up to 2 bottles per person. No coolers will be allowed into festival grounds this year.

Yes! There will be several nearby food options to choose from.

WILL THERE BE FLUSHABLE TOILETS AVAILABLE?

Yes.

WILL THERE BE SECURITY GUARDS IN REACH?

Yes.

WILL YOU HAVE STORAGE LOCKERS AVAILABLE?

No. Since this is only a day-long event, we are asking that you pack lightly and hold onto all of your belongings.


Directions & Parking

Where Do I go To get into the festival?

The Levitt Shell is located in the heart of Midtown, Memphis in beautiful Overton Park. Click here for directions.

WHAT'S THE PARKING SITUATION GOING TO BE LIKE?

Day parking is free but space will be limited. We suggest using our ridesharing partner, Lyft. New users can get up to $50 in free ride credit when you sign up here.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK MY RV?

We will not be offering any RV parking or camping.

WHERE'S THE CLOSEST BUS STOP?

Memphis Area Rapid Transit System (MATA) runs bus routes 50 Poplar and 53 Summer with stops on either side of Overton Park. The 50 Poplar stops closest to the Levitt Shell.

I LOST MY KEYS. WHERE IS THE LOST & FOUND?

The Lost & Found will share space with the Medical Services tent. Look for the banner that says "EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES". You can also email the festival with questions about lost items: info@moonriverfestival.com


Built in 1936 and recognized as the site of Elvis Presley’s first professional rock-n-roll show, the Levitt Shell is an outdoor performing arts venue located in the heart of Midtown, Memphis in the beautiful Overton Park.

Every year the Levitt Shell puts on more than 50 free concerts and events, made possible by the generous support of the community of people and businesses. The mission of the Levitt Shell is building community through music and education, finding common ground for a diverse audience. PARKING AT THE LEVITT SHELL

Parking is free throughout Overton Park. Please pay attention to No Parking signs! Parking spaces are limited, so arrive early. You can also take advantage of street parking in the neighborhoods surrounding Overton Park. Be nice to the neighbors by not parking on their grass or blocking their driveways. Want more secure parking? Here are some great options:

Enjoy more of Memphis and park at the brand new parking garage at Overton Square, just blocks away from Overton Park and the Levitt Shell. Park all day for just $3, and take the opportunity to enjoy the many local restaurants, bars and shops in Overton Square.
