Moon River Music Festival Volunteer FAQ
Do I need a ticket?
You will receive a wristband for entry to the festival on the DAY you volunteer. If you would like to attend more than one day of the festival, you will need to volunteer a shift on each day you’d like to attend.
How old do I need to be?
All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Can I work with my friends?
We will do all that we can to ensure that you are stationed with your friends, just be sure to notify us at email@example.com so we know who belongs to your crew. The more the merrier!
When do I have to be on site?
This depends on which shift you volunteer for. Please see specific notes based on your selected shift.
What perks are included for volunteers?
Volunteers will work 1 six hour shift in order to gain free entry to the festival for the day. You will also be given a free Moon River Music Festival 2016 volunteer t-shirt, provided during your shift time.
Will I still get to see the bands play?
Yes! Most all volunteer assignments are within viewing area of the stage. You will also be granted normal General Admission entrance to the festival for the remainder of the day (outside of your required 6 hour shift).
I have technical/production background. Can I volunteer for the tech team?
Yes! Please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org if you feel that your skills would be best utilized on the production team. We don’t need many production volunteers, so these fill up fast.
How much physical labor is required while volunteering?
We ask that you are able to stand on your feet comfortably for most of your shift. Many of our volunteer positions require movement and lifting up to 25 pounds. If you do not think you can handle a specific job, please speak up.
What will my role be?
Roles are assigned at random and include: Catering and Hospitality, Box Office, Logistics and Set-Up, Support Staff, Merchandise sales, Runners, Food Vendor assistance, Load-Out, Clean Up, and more.
